Visions Glass Cookware
Website: Visions Cookware. Visions cookware is made from glass-ceramic material that doesn’t leach into food. Because you can see right through it, you don’t have to remove the lid to monitor cooking, thus saving energy. Visions cookware wasn’t available for a while, but it’s back again. New pieces are fairly expensive, however there are quite a few “used” pieces of Visions Cookware available online or at your local second-hand store.
Soapstone Cookware
Website: Soapstone Cookware. This natural stone cookware is beautiful, warms food quickly over low heat, is naturally non-stick, and is so durable it can be handed down for several generations.
Enamelware
Enamelware is made out of either cast-iron or stainless steel and coated with glass (some are four layers), which is also called porcelain. It is non-porous, easy to clean and dishwasher safe. It has excellent heat conductivity which ensures its suitability for any gas, wood or electric oven or stove top. Enamelware is an “inert” surface for cooking – meaning it is safe (and nickel free).
